Does a person have to be a member of the club to take part?

Following the posting of this event, I never heard anymore about it. Does anyone know how it went? Since this post was made, I have had time myself to take nice pictures. I am getting them framed and plan to enter them in exhibits in the future. Hopefully other members here might be able to keep the rest of us up to date on this.
