Im running a 3.0 Ghz Pentium-D. Yes, its not the latest and greatest...but it gets the job done. (And the price is right).
What speed CPU are you using?

A 2.8 Pentium D here.
I would argue that RAM is more beneficial in any case to the performance of a PC.
